The Transcoding Adaptors are designed to generate derivatives from the original master content. DAM systems provide extendable interfaces that incorporate transcoding functionalities. Implementing native workflows within the DAM allow the system to convert and transfer data according to the business needs. The end users can initialize a transcoding job, so that the content alongwith any renditions are collected, packaged and delivered effeciently based on pre-defined set of rules. These adaptors developed against public APIs and can be deployed with relative ease.
The Cloud based storage allows a DAM to store the media content on external repositories. Cloud storage systems provide collaboration and sync functions for creative workflows. Users can access the asset content with various client interfaces, while the DAM tracks and manage the life cycle of the asset. The Cloud storage plugins maintains the corporate media policies and at the same time minimizes the impact on the creative practices used for producing content.

Multi Asset Transcriptor
We provide end users to work with OpenText Media Management using a HTML5-compliant user interface. This application has been favored over the Flash based native client by the user community because of the performance benefits and intuitive layouts. Following are some of the key features of H5 Client.
Multi-Asset Transcriptor (MATe) is a versatile add-on to OpenText Media Management. It allows users to submit batch operations for DAM assets. The tool works off of a records file (called the Manifest) that supports various formats and allows a flexible data structure. Once a manifest is submitted, the job executes behind the scenes. The user receives email notification and feedback upon completion of the job.
DAM Reporting Module
Making infromed decisions is the key to managing media effeciently. Assets stored in DAM can be referenced based on numerous metrices to generate reports. This data can be captured from the application layer of the DAM or directly from the database. Producing these reports allow the administrators to demonstrate anything from usage trends to system accessibility. The information can also be extracted and staged for third part tools to generate standard reports.
